As a makeup artist, I am asked many beauty related questions but the two most popular
requests are 1. how to create a smokey eye and 2. how to choose and apply the perfect
foundation.

Choosing a foundation usually takes time and is a lot about trial and error. There are many
factors to consider when foundation shopping. Such as, type - liquid, cream or tinted
moisturiser? Coverage - light, medium or heavy? Undertone - pink or yellow? Skin type -
dry, oily or combination? Will one foundation be exactly right or will I have to buy two to
colour match my skin (I do this for myself on a daily basis). Which brand suits me and which
brand caters for my skin tone? As noted this is not always a quick and easy task but putting in
the work will leave you with a foundation ideal for your skin.

A hot trend for Autumn/Winter 2012 is dark red lips. Hugely popular in the late
